Read the whole thing before you start spouting off, Dark Lord.

Wikipedia wrote:Airsoft guns are not classified as firearms subject to the Gun Control Act. (However, In almost every major city and population center the definition of a firearm within their respected ordinances includes propulsion by spring or compressed air, thus subject to applicable laws.)

They aren't considered firearms when you're talking about the Gun Control Act. Also take into consideration that many cities and states DO consider them to be firearms. You've got 3 levels of the law to look for: Federal Law, which covers the whole country; State law which can be more restrictive than Federal law, and city ordinances, which can be more restrictive than State Law. Gunny could explain it to you much better than I can, but since you're being such a doorknob I doubt he'll even speak up.

Just because a website or a patrol officer says they're not firearms doesn't make it so. It would be a wonderful, perfect world if everyone knew and reported the exact truth and understood every law comepletely, but alas, the world is not perfect and people make stupid assumptions about things they don't know enough about. Do your research before you get yourself into trouble.

KA-BAR. Bud. Seriously, let's stop recycling the jokes, k? Once is enough on most of your stuff. ;) I work with a guy that CANNOT let a joke go, and I swear to God he only knows about 4 witty things to say, so he cycles through them several times a day. Don't be that guy.

...you have issues, kid.

Your definition of issues is apparently not agreeing with you.

KA-BAR, I've got something for you. Take your airsoft gun. Aim it at your left eye, while holding the eye open with one hand proceed to fire the entire clip into your eye or until you have been blinded in that eye, then do the same to your right eye.

Lets go ahead and end the faggotry that is incoming from both sides in this thread.

Dark Lord - you might want to read the Oregon Revised Statutes, along with all local gun laws. Many municipalitys consider "air guns", "replica guns" and "pellet guns" as firearms, and firing them within city limits is contrary to the law - regardless of how you feel about it (example: I believe that the National Firearms Act is un-constitutional - but I am not willing to put up 10 years of my life, and $250,000, plus court costs to challenge BATF. Even if you're right, you're wrong). I believe it was Gresham that was making a fuss about it most recently? Are you wealthy enough to take on a local government agency in court to dispute the issue?

Everyone else - lets go ahead and quit with all the faggotry. Theres going to be no socks full of nickles, no shooting anyone in the face. Thats it. Its over. No more. Ended.

I think we have an understanding.

Dark Lord wrote:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_issues_in_airsoft#United_States Look at the first one. It's not a firearm, so you can't be charged as if it were one. So those laws saying that airsoft are firearms is unconstitutional and acording to federal law, wrong.

Another thing, what does a person's religion have to do with their ability to practice and interperet the law?

Did you seriously quote Wikpedia as an authoritative legal source? Really? You cite Wikpedia, I cite the Oregon Revised Statutes. Tell me which one the judge is going to listen to?

I'm going to make this as clear as I can so that there is no ambiguity:

Read this: http://www.airsoftpacific.com/viewtopic.php?t=2845

Read the first post, read the part where it says [b]"Firearm: a pistol, revolver, gun, rifle, or other mechanism, including a miniature weapon, which projects a missile or shot by force of gunpowder or any other explosive, by spring or by compressed air.â€
