No need to pack arm bands! We have lots! Plus we might just go the duct tape route if that is easier for everyone.

Whats the head count (ball park) for this game? I may have like 3 or 4 guys heading down there but all depends on the weather.....
Would be nice if you had a sign up sheet on tis thread so we can see how many players will be there and for what side...

Hey CharlieBrown! How many would you be bringing out? I am editing the first post to reflect how many people we have to show up. And I didn't see the issue on the board today (removed before I got to check it) If you want you can bring over your DMR and lets chrono it and see how far you are over. And make the appropriate mod's to it to get you legal.
PM me for my info.

If you are a renter, we are making it a full face mandatory. Otherwise ANSI rated eyewear for impact, and a mesh is just fine!

Update we have a total of 3 players (DOC, Flash, Weeds) will be there. The cold weather is putting a damper on a few of our players so I'm not sure if they will make it. How ever these 3 said that they will be there for sure.

Sunday looks to be a dry day and now that it's warmed up even better. Sounds like a few from PF will be there at least for part of the day.

charliebrown wrote:hmmm well now my m14 shoots 544fps @22.96rps, so oh well if i can use it as a bolt action im good.two round burst is super sweet. all dmr and bolt should be the same in my opinion.yes i have been shot with it while being fielded by a 11 year old girl hahahahahaha

Please tell me your joking about this? If you think this should be counted as a bolt action (LOL) or a DMR where you want a 2 round burst or 22 rps? I sometimes will question if I'm shooting 10 over fps but right now your asking 144 fps over for assault weapon. Having a bad day and this is the 1st post I have read since I logged on. Don't mean to grip but I'm holding A LOT back since I'm unsure if your joking or not.

Bring it out. Ill chrono it over the field chrono and lets see where we are at. We can make a determination at the field. If you have other guns bring them as well.
Thanks!!

Mostly soap-box ranting about Charlie and his borderline fanciful replica performance, and how ridiculously unsafe it is - let alone the fact that he is pushing for an exception to a rule that is, itself, a rare exception.

If it's a true statement of performance - his M14 is almost 150fps over it's category limit. Assuming he doesn't have a physical Semi-auto only limit in place - Mosfet programming is not generally considered a hard-limit where DMR use is concerned. If it is infact setup for FULL DMR classification including physical Semi-auto limitation, then he is still nearly 70 FPS over the limit.

The argument that he should be allowed to use it under the Bolt-Action limit is just nonsense. Why can't I used my M249 @ 549fps? Can't we just call it a bolt action if I only tap out one BB every second? Ridiculous.

I understand the desire to include as many players as possible - even to the point of fudging the limit maybe 5fps over to allow someone to play that otherwise wouldn't - but this well beyond a little wiggle room.

I'm not saying he needs to get rid of his gun, or even downgrade it. If it really does perform the way he says it does - it's a pretty beast gun with a lot of time and/or money invested in it. (Or it's gonna implode REALLY fast under the stress!) But lots of folks here have 2 or more 'Primary' weapons to suit the event limit. Field limit 400fps and say, a CQB safe 300fps gun.

At it's heart - our hobby and our community is about honor. Most strive to work within the rules. From his first post on the forums on, Charlie seems hell-bent on circumventing them.

SO - all that said - much more nicely this time  - I also wanted say I haven't had a chance to play out at Splat Action yet, so I'm excited to see the opportunity coming back around from you guys! Seems like it's shaping up to be good stuff!

*Edit Again!*
The more I think about it, the more it really feels like he's just trolling - terribad grammar and all.
