I may or may not have lit a small grass fire using a smoke grenade at one of the fields we use... This was with permission from the owner/host too... Always keep an eye on those damn smoke grenades.

And Junto, the lack of flames jetting out is a huge improvement. The "make it yourself" variety of smoke grenades should be called "smokey fire starters" because that is what they look like.
Edit: Also that kid picked that blue smoke back up while it had been going for a bit, so that makes it a good bit cooler than I remember them being. That is definitely a good sign.
