I hunt on multiple companies private holdings in the coast range . They all require permission, a permit posted on the vehicle and enforce various policies regarding fire , ATVs, curfew , etc. The companies are sick of vandalism, poaching, etc... on their property. Hunting actually helps the companies to decrease deer , Elk, and bear damage to young timber. That is the reason that hunters are tolerated.
I was in on the original PLA permit for Scapoose. it was obtained by an individual who approached the corporation in a professional manner and presented adequate liability indemnification ( up in Longview WA) . I am Sorry to see that Longview's parent company has changed their policy. But, It is after all, PRIVATE PROPERTY. Kind of the end of an era. :( If any of you have personal contacts withing the company, that is frequently the best mode to get something accomplished. An alternative is to begin scouting out public forests (USFS/ BLM). CAG had camp PLA up on hood and it was great.

The company change happened in 2007. Longview timberlands was formed in 2007. Unless something just happened with a new policy, the field has been under those rules for nearly 5 years.

It's still there.
From my understanding it's state land, so should be there until the state decides we're not allowed on land we own as a people.
