I hunt on multiple companies private holdings in the coast range . They all require permission, a permit posted on the vehicle and enforce various policies regarding fire , ATVs, curfew , etc. The companies are sick of vandalism, poaching, etc... on their property. Hunting actually helps the companies to decrease deer , Elk, and bear damage to young timber. That is the reason that hunters are tolerated.
I was in on the original PLA permit for Scapoose. it was obtained by an individual who approached the corporation in a professional manner and presented adequate liability indemnification ( up in Longview WA) . I am Sorry to see that Longview's parent company has changed their policy. But, It is after all, PRIVATE PROPERTY. Kind of the end of an era.

If any of you have personal contacts withing the company, that is frequently the best mode to get something accomplished. An alternative is to begin scouting out public forests (USFS/ BLM). CAG had camp PLA up on hood and it was great.
