Basic Rules for the AP CQC Event:
1. Each team faces a series of scenarios with actors filling the role of OpFor. The OpFor is briefed before the event as to what actions they will take and what their reactions will be. This makes the playing field equal across the board.
2. The order that teams will compete in is determined by lottery at the morning briefing. Each round is conducted in the same order.
3. Teams will be called into the briefing room at the start of their round. BRING ALL OF YOUR GEAR INTO THE BRIEFING ROOM! YOU WILL NOT HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEAVE THE BRIEFING ROOM ONCE YOU HAVE CROSSED THE DOOR FRAME.
4. Once in the briefing room, teams will be given a preliminary briefing, and will be allowed to ask questions to aid in planning. They are then given a fixed amount of time to plan their assault. You will be scored on your planning cell activities.
5. The evaluator will then ask questions about the plan to members of the assault team to evaluate if their understanding of the plan AND the situation.
6. You will then be moved into the area to begin your assault. The evaluator will travel with each team throughout the evolution.
7. Once the assault is completed, you will QUICKLY recover your gear and move outside to do a thorough debrief. Nobody from another team may be within 30 feet while outside when a debrief is happening. Write down where you went wrong, what you did correctly etc... These will be used as scoring modifiers at the end of the event. You will also be debriefed by an evaluator and graded once the round in completed. Scoring is cumulative, so LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES.
8. DO NOT discuss a round in progress with teams that have yet to go through the mission.
9. Do not eavesdrop on a briefing, or a debriefing.
10. IF the CCTV system is working, then the LAST team to go through an event may be broadcasted into the waiting area.
