Basic Rules for the AP CQC Event:

1. Each team faces a series of scenarios with actors filling the role of OpFor. The OpFor is briefed before the event as to what actions they will take and what their reactions will be. This makes the playing field equal across the board.

2. The order that teams will compete in is determined by lottery at the morning briefing. Each round is conducted in the same order.

3. Teams will be called into the briefing room at the start of their round. BRING ALL OF YOUR GEAR INTO THE BRIEFING ROOM! YOU WILL NOT HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEAVE THE BRIEFING ROOM ONCE YOU HAVE CROSSED THE DOOR FRAME.

4. Once in the briefing room, teams will be given a preliminary briefing, and will be allowed to ask questions to aid in planning. They are then given a fixed amount of time to plan their assault. You will be scored on your planning cell activities.

5. The evaluator will then ask questions about the plan to members of the assault team to evaluate if their understanding of the plan AND the situation.

6. You will then be moved into the area to begin your assault. The evaluator will travel with each team throughout the evolution.

7. Once the assault is completed, you will QUICKLY recover your gear and move outside to do a thorough debrief. Nobody from another team may be within 30 feet while outside when a debrief is happening. Write down where you went wrong, what you did correctly etc... These will be used as scoring modifiers at the end of the event. You will also be debriefed by an evaluator and graded once the round in completed. Scoring is cumulative, so LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES.

8. DO NOT discuss a round in progress with teams that have yet to go through the mission.

9. Do not eavesdrop on a briefing, or a debriefing.

10. IF the CCTV system is working, then the LAST team to go through an event may be broadcasted into the waiting area.

No problem on our camara gal having appropriate protection. I will also have her in a Flourescent orange vest so that it's understood that she is not a participant (aka: "target"). Also Dantes, we'd be more than happy to share our footage with you guys. I'll be putting it on tape though because I can't get the damn thing to "talk" to my comp (even though it says it's compatible). But if we get that worked out, we can burn it to cd for ya too....

And Gunny/Casca we should all be paid for now (NATC) and will be there early on Sunday. Is there a gear list that we should have as a minimum? I noticed someone posting about standard mags and such. I might have missed something in the threads. I'll go back and double check.... Also, the 33 round thing in the hi cap isn't going to work as a result of bb's that are drawn up the feeding tube (there's a certain amount that are retained in there when the spring completely releases. What this amount is..... I don't know. Best to dig up some standards. I think one of our members is going to have the same problem with his P-90. Anyway, see you guys there and looking forward to seeing you all since last summer??? the Radar Dome I believe or else when we came to Estacada..... And hopefully we'll do well for our first time out.
Sincerely,
Psistalker

The only gear that is mandatory is Long Sleeves, Sealed Eye Protection, Balaclava or face wrap or mask, and Gloves.

No, the class session is about an hour or two, then there will be several hours of time in the facility for the teams to train on some simple structures. Myself and some others will be there helping your teams get on the same page.

Whatever OAA misses in their class, I will be teaching. It's going to be a pretty full day. I plan on throwing you guys out around 4-ish so that we can build the actual structures for the event.

For those of you who missed the practice session today, you missed a great time.

I want to thank Dantes and Riddick, and Matt from OAA for their help getting the buildings set up. This event couldn't happen without them.

Tomorrow is going to be a bad day for a lot of people, and by "Bad", of course I mean "Good"... in a sadistic kind of way.

Those who are attending BE THERE AT 0800 OR BEFORE!

Guys, while there are many things I'd have done differently if I could have, I had a lot of fun hosting this event today.

Thanks are due in very large part to Riddick for his very generous donation of the raffle prizes, Matt from OAA for helping with the facility planning, and Rich, the owner of TPTS.

Short side bar: Those of you with real steel, please thank Rich by renting a firing lane at his place every now and again, and making sure you tell others to do so as well. He's a real stand-up guy.

I want to thank everyone who served as an actor/actress. These guys spent almost 9 hours absorbing BB's and were still smiling at the end of the day.

And I want to thank everyone who came out and played. Next time I hope to have something that keeps down time to a minimum. I hope you guys enjoyed playing today as much as I enjoyed hosting.

Final scores will be announced when I receive the AAR's from the remaining teams.
