Well here I am, finally at this point where I think it is time to let everyone know that the ABT Airsoft Battle Field is not going to reopen. I did all I could that Clark County asked of me, but in the end it came down to them wanting over $1500 and then it would take at least 2 years for them and the state of Washington to say weather or not they would change the zoning for the property so that I could pay them even more money in property taxes, permits, and licenses. So I have decided to just shut this airsoft field down and not have to worry about getting a $600 a day fine if we were to get caught having some good times playing airsoft. At this time I would like to thank a EVERYONE that had come out and played or helped in building, filling sand bags or what ever to make the ABT field the great place to play that it was. I would also like to thank the fallowing individuals and teams. First off to my brother X, without his dream, commitment, and energy to make this work it would have never happened at all, he is ABT and everyone that ever played at ABT knows what a great guy he is and what airsoft means to him. If there was anything that anyone needed he was there to help them out, from giving you a gun to play with to fixing your broken gun to even feeding you if you didn’t have something to eat. There are to many things for me to list and no way that I can thank him enough for all he did for the field and for the sport of Airsoft. Then there is my other brother, Major A Hoe, even though he was more in the shadows of what went on, he was the one that made it possible for most of the paint that was used to camo up or put figures on the tin or wood pieces out in the field, he also made it possible to have our Cptn. Crapper, or port-o-potty. He also donated quite a bit of money to make other thing happen at the ABT field. His commitment to the ABT field can only be measured by the devotion to the sport of airsoft as well. I would also like to thank the teams of SOTA and Team Terror, who in their own ways helped us out with guidance and bring honor to our field. I would also like to thank Matt and all of his crew that keep the Airsoft Pacific web site open for all of us to use, with out this site we could never have become what we were. I would also like to thank Chesty from The Farm Airsoft field. At the beginning of this year he tried to get a lot of sponsors including some Clark County groups to sponsor the ABT field in hopes it would get the county to change the zoning, but unfortunately due to time lines by one of the major sponsors that didn’t work out either, but I thank him anyway as he was trying to help keep the ABT field open and make a big difference in our community as well. So there you go, ABT is shut down and I plan on putting the property up for sale after filling in all the foxholes, taking down all the barriers. If it works out and I can find another piece of property, with the correct zoning, we will try to open another Airsoft field, but that is way out there and will have to see what happens. So once again THANK YOU and hope to see you on another Airsoft Battle Field some time in the future. SCROUNGE
