AAR
PROS: Great field. Good game mechanics with minor tweeking could be great. Good number of Admin Staff. Good props (nice touch to actually have to carry and build something). I actually liked the respawn rules, but maybe a little clearer on the game thread. Good use of artillery, I like using the 6 digit grid system (although we need a map reading class...huh Rico

CONS: A lot more info earlier on, maybe not specific missions but como channels, maps, what the respawn rules are, ect. Maybe think about objectives vs respawn. If NATO's airbase was destroyed then where would the respawn be? Same thing happened with the Axis.. our SF Team destroyed their helo base..but then what happened? They respawned from their CP (which was closer to the front). Something like helo base close to the front, if that falls an airbase further back, if that falls, then beach landing even further back. This would give team's objectives throughout the day. You threw me a little curveball when you put all the engineers and demo together, I had them embedded into the platoons. SOTA was going to build the array according to my plan. These types of things need to be posted early. Also the airstrikes.. if I had known about that I could have ensured we had a dedicated person to do that instead of yelling "who has a green laser?". When using artillery, it would be nice to call in the fire mission, then just before the Admin drops the rounds the Admin radio in and say SPLASH.. I had a couple of coordinated attacks against their CP..radioed in for a fire mission...then nothing I couldn't get confirmation if and/or when rounds were coming in. Last thing, as the commander, I should have known what the special missions of my SF team were. I knew the first two, but I didn't know anything about the helo pad mission, and what the SF Team was required to do once they got there.
Overall I had a good time...directing traffic isn't fun but I did get to fire off a mag when the Axis got into our perimeter so it's all good. On that note, the Axis kept us busy attacking from the North which did not allow me to be able to set up a good counterattack. When we took an area, we held for a while then lost it again. Back and forth that went for the whole game.
Thanks BSP for putting this on....
