For shotguns, if the BB's are all fired at once, the number of bb's is not restricted.
An airsoft shotgun will typically be restricted to load 7+1 shots (not shells), this is the number of times you can actually fire the shotgun before reloading. So, I guess in your case, you can load 24 BB's for 8 shots.

Yes, he is.. But he isn't asking you to purchase an unnecessary item to use.. Or maybe he should. BSP has seen fit to remove helmets form the equipment list for their CQB's.
