NEW Handbook Has Been Released
For those of you who were part of CQC6 and have seen that handbook, here are the key differences with CQC7:
1.
Dummy Grenades are out. Grenade devices, both flash or frag are required to have a report or a flash. They must have a simulated effect to be used. Since there are so many more manufacturers making Airsoft grenades, Airsoft flashbangs, and more training FBDs available to the general public... Dummy grenades are not allowed.
2.
More grenade options. LE training devices or manufactured Airsoft grenade devices are acceptable if sound of the report is less than 120db. Any Airsoft grenade without BBs loaded can be used as a distraction device, any grenade with BBs loaded will be considered a frag. Grenade devices that emit powder (or can be made to) can be used as gas grenades. Non-pyro smoke can be used as a gas grenade (hope you brought your gas masks). AS ALWAYS, ABSOLUTELY NO HOME-MADE PYRO.
3.
Restraints. Fake restraints are out. All restraints will require to use of zip-cuffs. Actual handcuffs with keys are not allowed. You no longer have to tell actors "You're restrained."
4.
Control is gone. The command "Control" has been axed. Instead, control is gained by placing your hand on an actor's shoulder. There's no need for a verbal command when you are already in somebody's face. Actors will react to your hand placement.
5.
Scoring Criteria. Back to a point system. You start with zero, and you lose points from there depending on how badly you mess it up. Every deduction is listed. A few new items here, pay attention.
6.
Radios. Radios now have their own section in gear requirements, I suggest you read about it if you want to be able to communicate.
7.
Stack Numbering. Not required anymore, but recommended.
8.
Actors have death rags. A blood red rag will be used on actors who have been shot to be a visual key for the teams that the person has been killed. There's no need to ask an actor "Are you dead?" They'll sport these after the stack has shot them and moved on.
9.
Less Lethal. Less lethal can now be used with either shotgun or launcher products. Instructions for how to mark a weapon "less lethal" are included in the handbook.
