airsoft team in marysville/evrett area

why do i see this as possibly ending very badly, men running around right next to a large airport with assault style weapons.

They said they've been playing there for almost 2 years and only had the cops come once. even that they couldnt do much because it is a unactive park so it is legal to play there.

It's not quite as near to the airport as one might think, it's still very secluded and wooded, and it's just past the end of the runway, so all you get is jets overhead, no people around. Too loud. The planes landing do make great noise cover, though, good for sneaking up on people.

PRAT has informal, play-at-your-own-risk skirms every Sunday morning. Info is at http://www.meetup.com/seattleairsoft/. Not sure you'll find a whole lot up North of Seattle, most of the GOOD fields are south of Seattle, unfortunately. Also check out www.1st-sword.com, they put on the best events this side of Vancouver, in my opinion. There are more, Team Tacoma, the guys down in Olympia, but now you're getting further and further out from your location. But trust me, some things are worth the drive.

Hey, I just play there.

Twice, though the second time the cop was passing us by as we were heading off the field, he talked to us for a good five minutes before he left.

Nope, we have permission to play there, and the cops to bother us. And we are far enough away from the airport that we don't get hassled.
