It's probably not too late to email them and ask for the black strap...

Oh, and I mentioned it in my original post :D I found out via email...

Go me, I read too fast and skip stuff sometimes. Just sent them an email, we'll see how it goes. No big loss if I get tan.

And Ray, did you order your goggles from this group, or just this series of goggles in general?

Very nice goggles, i've seen videos on youtube of the lenses taking shots from .22's and 12 gauges without being punctured. My girl Akiba wears hers to everything airsoft and things that its the most comfortable set of goggles shes ever owned. Buy some fog prevention or prepare to use some dish soap pretty soon.

Alright. Pulled the trigger on a pair with the tan strap this morning. Steve at Goggle Overstock was very helpful and quick with responses, and Paypal worked very smoothly. So far, I'd recommend this site if you're looking into a pair of these, and I'll put up a review when they show up.

Just got an email response from Steve as well, he was very nice and helpful, and says my goggles are shipping today. (So fast!) So if anyone else is considering picking up a pair, now's probably the time, before they sell out. :D

EDIT: Oh yes, and he mentioned I'd be getting the black strap version, so that's good too!

I have a feeling he still has a large stock, but the website was referenced on Deadrag, so I'm not sure how long it will last.

Mine w/ black strap came in last night and they do sit high on the head but its nothing that unusual. They didn't fog when I went for the jog so good to go.
A three second fuse only lasts two.

Those things will not fog.

We used them at PTOC, with face masks and all. They will get so much moisture, it'll drip along the inside of the lens.

But not even a little fogging.

Woo! My goggles showed up in the mail this evening!

They came packaged in the original plastic, confirming that they are indeed brand new, unused.
They come with both smoke and clear lenses, and as requested, I got a tan strap. They also come with a very nice cloth carrying case, which has pockets for both the goggles and the extra lens, and the case itself has Velcro straps on the back which could be used for carrying the goggles on either a belt (should accept a 2" belt) or a MOLLE vest (They aren't MOLLE straps, per se, but they'll fit on a vest, taking up a space four slots wide by two high).

They are TAN, not Coyort Brown, so keep that in mind. They match the tan of ACU very well, as well as the light tan in Multicam, so they would look great with both.

I've been wearing them for about an hour now, with a balaclava, to see how well they do with ventilation. So far, so good. I'm wearing them as I type, with the smoke colored lens in, and I can see quite clearly.

I'll go for a run with them on tonight once it cools down even more (It's about 40 degrees out right now, but should get closer to 35 for the night). I figure that running about 2 miles with a balaclava will get them to fog, if anything will. EDIT: I just got back from my run, and they're absolutely fog-free. I got a little perspiration inside the lenses, but not enough to impair vision.

I don't have a helmet yet to try them out with, but they work just fine with my patrol cap, and they've got a long enough band to handle being worn over a helmet no problem. They might feel a little big if you aren't used to the size of tactical goggles, but they're low profile enough that I shouldered a full stock AR without problem, and I had a good cheek weld.

Overall, these things get an A+. They look great, and they're very sturdy, besides having THE BEST ventilation I've EVER seen. I haven't found a single problem with them yet, but for the price, even if I did find a problem, I probably wouldn't complain. I'll try to get some more pics up once I can find my camera, but here's one I took with my webcam...

I'll update in a week or so once I've given them some time to break in.

I don't know whether or not to consider these goggles. You all have had great experiences with them, yet I have a friend who has them, and his fog horribly within minutes. Well, shop goggles fog on him, so maybe its him. Of course for $13, what could go wrong? ;)

Mine and everyone else who went to the last CQC on my team had them and they fogged like nothing else. I hate them.

What did you use to clean them? Because the instructions recommend using water and a soft clean cloth, because anything else, including soap or goggle cleaner, might remove the anti-fog coating.

I think he only ever used antifog wipes, never any soap or detergent. That might have been enough though. I'll check with him next time I talk to him to see if he used anything else.
EDIT: He also wears glasses, which might be the issue. Another thing I'll have to ask him.

Anti-fog wipes will remove the factory fog coating.

Don't clean them. With anything. Take care of them, so you only ever have to wipe dust off the OUTSIDE of the lens.
