There have been some questions about the use of grenades and flashbang devices...whether they will be provided or player supplied.
-If you want to use an airsoft grenade, have at it. It will be scored as a fragmentation grenade. I don't know how useful it will be, but if you want to supply yourself with them, be our guest.
-Flashbangs: Due to the lowered cost of the event, we did not include bangers as part of the deal. If teams want to use real training bangs, they can rent the bodies and purchase the fuses from S4 (ALS type actual training bangs) for $17 a toss. Which, is $2 more than wholesale on the item. Those quantities are limited and honestly, the utility of the item will be peaked for the day two mission. I can't see a use for them on day one.
S4 also have some of the snap-cap style bangers available for WAY less to use for the events. Not nearly as cool, but do make a noise and could impact your surprise factor.
Teams that have their own distraction devices that are a manufactured item (not some shit you threw together from a fireworks stand...because that is a big a$$ no-go) you must have the item approved by the staff prior to the admittance of the item. If it's a go, it's a go, if not....put it back in your kitbag.
The distraction devices will not have the customary three count from "shock and awe" to the actors. They will work, or will not work. That's the gameplan. Train up and use VOA....chase your banger...That's what you should do anyway.
After the 1st, we'll lock in the time's for the teams to be ready to roll. We will have a better prep time for teams than in the past, allowing you to do a quick wargaming and sandtable exercise before you deploy.
Lastly, I've been getting some questions about magazine requirements and ammo counts. 33 rounds total in any "30 round capacity magazined weapon", 53 rounds in any "50 round magazined weapon", and for shotguns no more than 5 "trigger pulls" before a reload.
NO HIGH-CAPACITY MAGAZINES ALLOWED unless attached to a SAW.
NO Shrikes, NO Drum mags.
