Thanks for letting us come today. We had a blast.

It was funny when I was laying down, popping up, taking a few shots, then laying back down. Finally someone just loaded bb's into where I was hiding. When I stood up their was like 2 guys 10 feet from me, then some guys coming from behind lol

Btw: kendo, we have your 'Rip Curl' shirt. Thanks for the awesome adventure in your car =D

Great game today.

I saw theguy who left the orange notices on our cars. I showed up late and he pulled up to me, and in a rude manner began running his mouth about it being required that all users of that forest must have a bucket filled with sand or water and a shovel for fire protection. I happened to have 3 commercially rated dated and tagged fire extinguishers in plain view in my truck, and when I pointed out this to him he took it personally!

That was good times.

I'm following a couple of NWO guys who linked up with some other guys, and we're going to make a big push.

Next thing I know, Im feeling a knife slide between my ribs . . . . my life-force flowing from my body as Kendo's razor sharp knife slips through my heart, and a ton of unaimed AK fire to my right . . . . and someone from WAR go "oh shit!" and shoot Kendo.

I wonder if it was the same guy I met?

While returning to my vehicle to reload, I talked with a gentleman from the Department of Forestry who advised me in a very polite and professional manner that new fire restrictions would soon be in place for the area. He asked permission to place the notices on our windshields. I chatted with him a bit before contacting KA-BAR who also talked with him.

The take away message from what he said is:

DURING THE SUMMER, ALL VEHICLES IN AREAS AFFECTED BY FIRE RESTRICTIONS MUST CARRY:

(this includes the Scappoose field)
-1 gallon of water or a 2.5 lb. fire extinguisher
-1 shovel with an 8" blade at least 26" long.

Failure to follow these regulations could result in a fine.

Even though the Scappoose field is on private land and we have permission (through TommyBoy) to use it sometimes, it's important to the future of our hobby to always be courteous and friendly to non-participants, especially state workers. Remember that people not familiar with airsoft can feel threatened by our replicas and gear.

I had a great time today. It was nice not to be soaked and muddy after a game for once. Thanks to KA-BAR for acting as our stand-in admin and to Alex for his work setting up the skull games and providing the props!

Is there more infor on the fire restrictions? I looked at the Oregon Department of Forestry's site and they only shows these restrictions for West Lane and South Cascade Districts.

Smoking however is banned in any place but enclosed buildings or vehicles in Oregon forests but I started a different thread for that.
