Here are the Camo Camia rules.
The following are uniform Rules of Conduct, Engagement and Operations for all personnel attending and participating in airsoft activities at Camp Camia:
I. OPERATIONS
1. Registration:
a. Any and all individuals regardless of degree of participation in airsoft event must register at Command Central upon arrival. This includes but is not limited to: skirmishers, actors, by-standers, observers, spectators, photographers, vendors, sponsors, directors and related participants.
b. Each registrant must sign Release of Liability Waiver and Mutual Consent of Assumption of Risk as a condition to enter and participate.
c. Each skirmisher must provide for inspection at time of registration approved eye wear in accordance with ANSI Z87.1 2003, approved barrel blocker and signed waiver (unless on file). Additionally, should event require, approved face protection shall be provided for inspection.
2. Safety Devices and Conditions
a. Eye Wear
1) Protective eye wear which provides a continuous seal between the frame and the face and which the lens provides impact protection standards consistent with ANSI Z87.1 2003 are approved for use.
a. Commercially manufactured mesh goggles designed specifically for airsoft are approved but discouraged.
b. Paintball mask meeting or exceeding impact levels of ASTM F1776-99 and European CE Standards are approved. Due to progression of paintball manufacturing standards, paintball masks are subject to detailed inspection and ultimate approval by Officials.
2) Protective eye wear shall be donned in the Assembly Area prior to movement to the Chrono station or the Skirmish Field. It shall remain on until returning to the Assembly Area.
a. Removal of Protective Eye Wear while outside of the Assembly Area/Safe Zone when skirmish action is underway is considered a major safety violation and the offender is subject to penalty and/or sanction.
b. Face Protection
1)Eyes : as described in 2.a.
2)Face non CQB - at the descretion of the participant.
3)Face CQB - the following devices are approved of which one minimum must be sufficiently in place to provide protection:
- Balaclava; provided the upper lip is covered at all times.
- Mouthguard; must be molded to wearers dental pattern.
- Padded Mask; either full face or 1/2 face provided the upper lip is covered unless worn with mouthguard.
- Full Face Mask; rigid paintball style.
- Shimagh; provided that the wearer demonstrates that the device will remain in place despite tactical maneuvers. Must be worn tight and close and cover upper lip at all times.
* Additionally, PASGT or MICH helmet may be worn in conjunction with the above devices but does not replace any one or all thereof.
c. Throat Protection - presently the Risk Assessment for throat protection remains with the individual and is not regulated collectively. It is advised and recommended. The Risk Management Committee shall review this protective measure bi-annually.
d. Extremity Protection - not presently regulated collectively but remains with the individual.
3. Weapons Safety
a. All weapons entering Camp Camia shall have the firing mechanism cleared, magazine removed, safety on, and barrel blocked with approved device.
b. All weapons within the Assembly and Staging Area shall be in SAFE condition as stated in para 3.a.
c. Weapons returning from chronostation or the skirmish field will be rendered SAFE prior to entering the Assembly and/or Staging Area.
d. No weapon may be used to re-enact or simulate combat.
e. Any weapon requiring disassembly to the point that the barrel cover is removed shall be taken to the Weapons Bench for such work.
f. Weapons will be discharged at the Chrono station or on the skirmish field only. No other place is authorized for discharge of a weapon. If it must be stated here - discharge a weapon in the parking lot and it will be an immediate dismissal with sanctions. Notice the period. No mitigating circumstances. No appeal.
4. Safety Briefing
a. Safety Briefing is mandatory for ALL personnel participating in airsoft activity. Briefing will commence at prescribed time and will be closed door. Late arrivals shall not commence nor engage in airsoft activities until having received the Safety Briefing.
b. Safety Official or Designee may conduct Safety Briefing at any time Safety risk poses compromise to general airsoft community. Same is authorzied to halt skirmish and/or airsoft activity to conduct briefing.
c. Special Safety Briefing regarding hazards, dangers and other elements which present risks to airsoft community shall be conducted jointly with main Safety Brief. Special Safety Briefing shall include but is not limited to: weather conditions, seasonal conditions (foliage, insects, heat, cold), boundaries, Chain of Command, Use of Time, Deployment of Ordnance, etc.
5. Chronograph
a. All weapons shall be chronographed within designated velocity, unless established for specific OP or skirmish by Officials:
i. 400 f.p.s. max with .20 gram bb's for AEG.
ii. 600 f.p.s. max semiauto/bolt action Sniper with .20 gram bb's. -- 50' NO FIRE RULE mandatory for sniper weapons.
iii. AEG's above 400 shall have foregrip marked with red tape and fps written on same. Weapon shall be employed in guarded, very low rate of fire, counter sniper position.
b. Approved Protective Eye Wear must be worn prior to entering chrono station.
c. Weapon must be in SAFE condition (fire mech clear, mag out, safety on, barrel blocked) prior to entering chrono station.
d. Weapon must be in SAFE condition prior to re-entering Assembly/Staging Area.
e. Designated OP's require marking of weapon by Officials with zip tie or removable tape with chrono pass.
6. Assembly Area
a. A non-engagement zone in which all personnel have freedom to perform admin duties and personal requirements. This area is equipped with: battery charging tables, equipment set-up tables & chairs, weapons bench, hospitality area with microwave & fridge, chrono station, parking lot, food service/kitchen, vendor service, more. Protective Eye wear is not required EXCEPT for the chrono station.
7. Staging Area
a. A non-engagement zone in which skirmishers form to receive orders, plans, instructions and directions prior to conducting OP. Approved Protective Eye Wear is mandatory. Upon dismissal of the formation, the staging area becomes 'HOT' once the skirmish commences (if included in the area of operations).
