Too bad CQC doesn't work against Crabs!

The greatest thing ever popped out of MGS3...

Man, I had a great time today. I finally understand what all of the actors from the last competition are talking about when they say that they want to act in the next one.

Seeing how all of you reacted to the same situations was very interesting and informative. Just to break it up for you:

- Mission one you were supposed to come away with a basic understanding of how to control a large amount of subjects and how to search them all, even if they are insulting you while teaking out on the floor and talking about flying fish with "giant goddamn fangs".
- Mission two had one lesson that you all learned very well, I am sure: watch the motha fuckin windows! I shot a LOT of people (I'm talking no less then two from each team, and as many as seven) on this mission because no one really wacthed any of the entrances to the crackhouse other then doors.
- On mission three I applaud a lot of you guys for trying to neogotiate with me. Bold move with me standing there holding a bottle to Cori's head and a MAC-10 down the back of my drawers. Unfortuneatly for you guys I was told that I was to play someone who could not in any way be neogotiated with. No amount of talking, promising or goodies were going to get me to give her up without a fight. This was one of those missions where you wanted to hit fast and hit hard, throwing flashbangs along the way. The teams that got bogged down and slaughtered in the stairway were those theams that failed to apply the appropriate tool for the appropriate job.

Let me get one thing clear before I hear it through the grapevipe: this is not me or any of the other actor's bragging. While some of you performed better then others, the very fact that you showed up to learn proves that you want (and will) get better. You were supposed to learn from all of these exercises and grow into a better team. That and having a good time while doing it is the goal.

I had a hell of a time guys, even though I got horribly shot up in the process. :D

To next time!

EDIT - And that DM from WAR who shot me while I was on the roof - excellent shot, man! Right in the neck. POW! Game over.

Awesome job guys, and thanks to the rest of the acting team that showed up. It would have been a real pain without you guys.

Thanks very much to all the actors, especially to those whom I might have shot at a very close range...sorry Nightshade, I didn't think to try a contact kill, but then again I'm not used to seeing people jump down a flight of stairs and stab me in the upper sternum.

Kudos for that by the way. Death from above!

And of course thanks go to everyone who shared their much needed knowledge for all of our benefit.

Hey, at least when you shot me at close range it was in my body armor. It seems like almost everyone else aimed for my face. :( I sincerly thank you for that.

That is now my all-time favorite single man rush ever. The only reason I didn't kill all of you was because I ran out of ammo. Haha. You guys are all good sports though, afterwards you all shook my hand and said things along the lines of "goddamn that was awesome".

I walked back to my respawn really slowly though - I was quite literally shaking with adrenaline.

Yeah, thanks for all of you showing up. hope it helps with the future events.

One thing though.

ALL of you shot me though I did nothing more threatening than point a cell phone at you (except the first team, I was actually pulling a gun when you shot me).

ID your targets people, I wasn't a threat. What you did was tantamount to shooting a civilian.

That being said, I hope you all had fun.

Well done today guys. On all ends.

Nocte and Corrie are responsible for the scenerio write-ups, and it was very obvious the acting crew did their job well, and was having a great time doing it. Without the actors being 100% committed to the fun, it wouldnt be nearly as entertaining for the teams. Thank you.

To the volunteer instructors that came, thank you very much for your time. Your efforts are more than appreciated on the admin side. Cobal, Naill, and Postman...werd.

We are planning on spooling this type of event up more often to keep interest and skills up. A few times a year doesnt seem to cover the demand these days.

Lastly, to all those that came out and did the deed. Thank you for your participation. It is always rewarding to see new teams learn, and established teams pick up something new or chip the rust off.
