shooting aeg's in the privacy of your own home

Postby blitz » Thu Jul 06, 2006 7:23 pm

i have seen alot of threads lately saying that it is illegal to shoot off airsoft guns in your home or in your backyard.

i dont know if this is gonna be true everywhere but i had the police over here on the fourth "for fireworks"
after everything got resolved i decided to ask a few questions one of them being about airsoft guns in city limits

i asked him if it was illegal to shoot off the replicas in my garage or my backyard saying that i have heard of people having bad experiences with that he said "thats bullshit a airsoft gun is not a firearm and therefor you can shoot it at your residence as long as you are not running down the street firing it off"
just a heads up im not saying to run around your house shooting everything but that is what i heard from washington county pd.
i came to ruin your life and wreck everything, god sent me

Just another officer that doesn't know the law.

Did you ask for his full name, Tell him you want to quote him to the judge when "joe Cop" officer busts you next week.

I fire my airsoft gun on my property inside and out.

Of course, I live out in the middle of buttfuck egypt...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_issues_in_airsoft#United_States Look at the first one. It's not a firearm, so you can't be charged as if it were one. So those laws saying that airsoft are firearms is unconstitutional and acording to federal law, wrong.

Another thing, what does a person's religion have to do with their ability to practice and interperet the law?

Dark Lord, you do realize that wikipedia article has absolutely no citation correct?

[quote]There are two levels of law which need to be looked at… State Code and City Ordinances. While state codes are the highest form of state law, city ordinances have the same weight and force within their jurisdictions. In other words, a City anti-littering law is just as valid and enforceable as a State anti-littering law; they have the same effect.

In Oregon and Washington, according to the Letter of the Law it is legal to play Airsoft in UNINCORPORATED areas of the state. In other words, outside of city limits. Basically, if you can hunt there legally, you can play Airsoft. Inside of city limits, the whole thing changes. Individual cities utilize city ordinances to regulate legal activities within their borders. It is up to YOU to know what the city ordinances for a given jurisdiction. Google the City Name and the words “City Ordinancesâ€

Well someone needs to bring that error in the Oregon law to the attention of the Federal Government.

And that thing about Jewish people was just racist.

dark lord... i am a jew, i didnt take that racially...and if you know anything about jews, we hate to give out our hard earned money..... but i will give you $25, if you run down to the bank with it and ask them to chang it into nickles....then i want you to take said nickles and place them in a sock. now take that sock and just start beating the holy shit outta yourself, and when you think you cant take anymore...beat your self for another half hour after that or until unconsiousness arrives. then when you wake from your coma....do it again!
