I take it you could not find a place in the Corvallis/Albany area? Did you try and find a place in the Eugene area?

I am sure we could have eventually found something, but we've got more Portland teams, so it was convenient to have it in Wilsonville.

Some important details about how the competition will flow:

You arrive at the field at least 1 hour prior to your designated start time (if you want to have time to breath) - team reps will be given the exact address of the location on Thursday night.

You enter at the blue door with steps

You are directed to a setup area. (safe zone, muzzle caps on magazines out)

Your unpaid teammates will pay at this time at a registration table in this area, you'll also provide any waivers if necessary at this time.

You grab a table and start prepping your gear. (again, muzzle caps fixed, magazines out)

Admins will tell you in advance what mission profile you have (LE or MIL)

Mission admin calls for your team and directs you to the briefing room for your mission. (Bring ALL the gear you will need for this mission, it's safe to leave stuff in the setup room for later but you CANNOT go back until the mission is over).

You will be briefed on the mission, do the Q&A, and lock and load in the mission brief area. Leave that room ready to rock.

Admin will lead you to a start point, ask you to proceed when ready and start the clock as soon as you cross the LOD.

Upon your successful or unsuccessful completion of the mission, the admin will verify that you are ready to call "all clear" and stop the time.

You'll be quickly debriefed on the spot (What went wrong, what went right), and then asked to fix muzzle caps, take mags out.

You'll be escorted back to the setup area.

You have the remaining time left in the hour to reload and prep for the next mission. If mission brief, the mission itself, and the debrief take 45 minutes... This means you have 15 minutes until you're called on again.

Three hours later, after you've completed all missions, you are free to come and go as you please. Teams are allowed to stick around in the setup area to hang out, under 2 conditions: you DO NOT talk about the scenarios, and you DO NOT wander the field. You either stay in the briefing area or go outside the building.

NO AEGS WITHOUT CASES, BOXES OR BAGS WILL BE ALLOWED OUTSIDE THE BUILDING.

About an hour to an hour and a half to field location from Sherwood. Tack on like an extra 20-30 from Portland.

Can anyone who knows/lives in Corvallis recommend a good spot to kill some time before the CQC. My team is going to be down there a couple few hours before our run time. This way we can go over and prep things out one las time before we run the CQC. I am looking for something like a Shari's, Starbucks or something similar. I want to be near the location too, no more then 15-20 minutes out from Strike Zone.

Tommy, you are welcome to come to the field early. There is a ready room for all the participants in que.

We do request every team show up an hour or so before their scheduled time slot. This will allow the gear checks ect to take place and will not eat into your mission time.

Time is critical in this event. Remember that. If you go over 45 minutes from infil to exfil, you are hurting yourself.

Mission times should be no longer than 30 minutes, with 15 minutes of planning....for a total of 45 min.

No problem. You just have to hang in the common's area.

EVERYONE: THERE WILL BE A CHRONO ON SITE. WE WILL BE CHECKING YOUR GEAR.

The FPS limits have already been published. So be prepared to be checked.
