Really in the end, as has been mentioned multiple times, it comes down to PID.

I've been to games where UCP and walking back with a dead rag on my head and had a kid walk around the corner wearing UCP and shoot me. I said some choice words and feel the kid will now hesitate in the future to just light up the first person they see.

When I started playing Airsoft back in the day with Jesus there was no arm bands, camo separation, etc. But there was 80% less friendly fire(and 100% more shooting in the dead pool). Granted there was far fewer of us and we generally all knew each other so it was easy to remember who was on what side. Having started playing during this time though aided me in the large clusterfuck games of today and waiting to positively identify my target before I shoot them. Though, generally I use and tell others to use the "if they're walking toward you with their gun up, they're likely not on your team" and as has been said, "if they start shooting at you, shoot back". This generally works out well. Though, general team work and coordination really helps.

shazaam counting kills. Play with that in mind and you'll stop shooting your teammates.

I like that idea. K-D ratios are for video games, not airsoft. Tracking and worrying about your KD leads to friendly fire and hacking IMHO. Have a good time and don't shoot your buddy in the face.
