Operation Dawn of War: Victory Forge
Congratulations on completing the first 8 weeks of basic combat training (BCT). Now is your opportunity to put your new skills and fitness to the test at operation DOW. Alpha company and Bravo company will be conducting operations against each other in this final test of fitness, skill and teamwork before final deployment.
Operation Orders:
You are hereby ordered to report to SPLAT ACTION on February 8th, at 08:30. The following must be accomplished on time:
8:30 Assemble for weapons check / chrono
10:00 Assemble Insertion Point / Final gear check and ready to deploy
10:30 Assemble in formation lined up behind squad leaders for final mission briefing
11:00 Insertion into field, weapons hot. Patrol to FOB / CCP and establish 360 security. Conduct further operations.
15:00 Rally at extraction point for debriefing
16:00 Operation complete
AO:
The AO is 47 acres of wooded terrain. The terrain is hilly and forested. Green, brown and tan are the primary foliage colors. At this time of year the visibility is generally 200-300 feet through the forest as the deciduous trees are bare. There are areas of swamp and impenetrable black berry thickets. Creeks may be running high and should be avoided.
The AO has well established system of trails, many not marked on the map. Trails will be muddy and slippery. There are many buildings and fortified structures throughout the AO, many not mapped.
Minimum Equipment Requirements
- Primary weapons system fully assembled and ready.
- Rifleman: 4-6 midcap magazines (preferred) or 1-2 high cap magazines (optional)
- 2 liters of water / snacks to sustain 5 hours of continuous operation
- One (1) RED death rag
- Two (2) WHITE heal rags (white cloth strips)
- Boots / extra socks
- Raingear as appropriate to the weather forecast
