That was one of my concerns as well, I don't want to pay for actual crye gear, because I do know how easy it rips, same with the gear I linked I'm sure, I'l have other stuff as well I'm sure. on that note, I see a lot of other camos for different opposing teams, so I'll have to get some other sets as well depending on where I'm playing.

I guess it's just going to depend on the day/game.

is there anything else that people find useful that you rarely see people bring to games/ positions for people to play (well).

Crye stuff is built well, but there price point is a bit high.

UR-Tactical makes crye style pants as well that are amazing.

I have a pair that's 5 years old and still kicking. I bought them because at the time I couldn't find any G1 Crye pants. Since buying them used, I've had to stitch a small 2" blown seam in the crotch. The range of movement is the same as Cryes. The knee pads are a bit heavier, but still very sturdy.

The JPC is a good carrier, but it's not designed to be covered in pouches. I personally love my First Spear Strandhogg. I've had 3 different EPCs, Banshee, CIRAS, JPC, and a 6094, but the Strandhogg is the most comfy PC I've ever owned. The price is a bit steep I'll admit, but I don't need to buy another PC.

I'll probably take shit for this (don't forget boys, this is the new "happier, friendlier" AP)

1. I see guys all the time in their expensive, fancy ghost recon pants. All ripped up in the same few spots. I'd wear those if Sam was paying the bills. Baggy BDU's don't do that, $35-45 a pair.

2. In our area of Oregon, ready?....MULTICAM DOES NOT WORK!!! We see you guys a mile a way. A-TAC'sFG works,M81 , marpat, flecktarn or even alpinflage. (If you get A-TACSFG wash only by hand!!!)

don't hate, just an opinion

Thanks for the link to the pants, that helps out a ton! I'm actually amazed on how many sites make replicas.

I'm not concerned bout multicam at all really, I'm not expecting it to be a good camo in said areas. but IF can can get someone to give me a couple sets of cryes, that that's a good thing.

Marpat is what I'm really looking at. I'm expecting rips and tears, that will happen I know.

you don't have to be concerned with being honest with me. I'm able to take quite a bit of honesty.

I watched about 10-15 loadout videos on youtube yesterday. I'm really impressed on how much work some people put into their it looking a particular way, only one thing that caught my eye. Personal retention lanyards, I have 2 things about this, I see the clip in the front, carabiner goes on the front to the riggers belt. also if your short tie a knot in it. In the unlikely event that you survive a helo crash, you don't want to not be able to reach your pull tab to get yourself down.

That being said I'm almost all the way leaning towards the 5.11 plate carrier now, I like the side being open, stretchy, and still able to take molle if needed.

Thanks again!

I haven't seen this suggestion for a sidearm yet (surprisingly), so here's another option..

Tokyo Marui. Arguably the best sidearm brand in airsoft, the most upgradeable, and considered by many to be the most accurate by far.

Downside is they have no metal externals if you buy new. But you can buy aftermarket parts easily.

For AEGs, unless you feel a need for recoil, KWA is generally kinda meh because of parts and QC. But on the other hand, they're pretty solid as long as you have a non-lemon.

Marui SOPMOD Recoil guns also have recoil (I have not compared to a KWA RM4) and they are full metal, often Colt trademarked, and arguably as nice or nicer than RM4s. Because TM guns have magic fairy dust inside of them.

KWA LM4 PTRs are pretty awesome, but so are WE M4s (and they have a much better upgrade potential) and despite what many LM4 owners will say, are not that much worst than LM4s in gas consumption. I've had a few of both and they both have their pros and cons.

I made my second airsoft order today

These mystery box things are great, it's like gambling, but odds are I'll be starting my build with the shorty M4.

I like him.

So, how'd the mystery box turn out? Going to any of the local games this month?

The mystery box didn't turn out too bad, I ended up with a KWA CQB M4, which isn't really a huge surprise with 80/100 odds. I did however order another one from last week with only 20/100 odds to get the same gun so I'll likely end up with something else. At this point I'm not considering these legitimate sources of getting anything decent, I'm just using them as something to fill my time.

On that note I'm invested now, I ordered my polarstar VFC 416 from amped airsoft, so that build project is started. I build it out to be looking the hit 1.5 joules with a .34 bb consistently which should get me through most games. The only issue I see with that is I'm using all low flow valves so I'll almost always have the red nozzle in my gun. This may come into issues with fields that limit polarstars by the nozzle color so If some are picky I'll probably end up running an AEG those days.

No local games yet, My leave got pushed back a month so I won't be home until late august through most of September now. I'm hoping there will be at least a couple games then which I plan to attend. It's starting t oget hot here, I think it has reached 100+ for the last week now and it's probably now slowing down at all until december so when I'm home I'll welcome the cooler weather.

So here's another question I have, dummy sapi plates, are they hollow inside (I assume they are). If they are has anyone ran a thin hydration bladder inside the plate to save space ?

They are hollow. And I haven't ran my hydration bladder there. Good idea though. I use a Tactical Taylor mini hydration bladder, and just leave extra water at spawn point. It fits in a Nalgene pouch, and saves weight and space.
