Any advice on stocks?

Postby haggishunter » Mon May 26, 2014 8:02 pm

I have an M4, the BearRiver ignite one & it needs a stock, I tried googling it & searching the forums but couldn't find the answer I was looking for.
Are all stocks for AEG's the same or do I need a specific kind? does anyone have any they've used before?
Cheers

Again, since your so close to ThunderKiss, go check em out. BUY LOCAL! If they don't have what you want, they'll get on the net right there, you point at what you want. Click! ordered.

As far as size, bring yer gun (in a bag!) into the shop so they can measure it.

If it's an AEG M4 like you said it was then it should have an AEG buffertube. That means that it should be able to accept all AEG stocks.
As far as recommendations go I would point you in the direction of Magpul stocks (mainly MOE/CTR or UBR stocks), or standard LE stocks, and crane stocks.

The Mission First Tactical Battlelink Minimalist Collapsible Buttstock is growing on me.

Most often the buffer tubes that come on AEGs are milspec, however, I've never heard of the brand mentioned, so I can't say for sure.

Wow! Firstly, Bear River International, AKA Ignite airsoft is terrible! That is a walmart gun! You should really look into getting another AEG, but if you insist not getting a "standard" AEG then MAG-PUL/MOE butt-stock would work.

What ParoJo said, if it has a buffer-tube, it should be able to support any stock that is compatible with an M4.

Buying local is expensive, but you can make sure everything fits properly. Just go to Thunder Kiss or Airsoft Outlet NW.

Cheers guys!
unfortunately my work hours have prevented me from getting out to thunderkiss, I do.prefer to support local businesses especially if they're good at giving advice and help, which can behard to get online.

The buffer tube is really thick, that's why I was so confused but will take it in. As for the "walmart" brand gun.... that was the point, I wanted something cheap I could get as my 1st gun and not worry about messing it up to bad if I was to.open.and fiddle with it. One that for a 1st time gun would be easy to jiggle... this needs the least jiggling while helping with my practice of going over the internals of the gun.
From what I've read all I need to do to make it a half decent AEG is a new trigger, higher battery, some O rings and a stronger spring

Sorry he's 17, instead of a terrible, he meant to say "less than wonderful!"

One great thing about ThunderKiss is they are open 7 days a week, most of those nights, late.

I run a Veltor IMod stock, and I absolutely love it. Little pricey but worth the money, best M4 stock I have used
