-One of our primary game hosts has been slotted to go to Afghanistan somewhat last minute, and needs to focus his time on preparing his new team.
-Many of the teams we had hoped would be involved in the event have backed out, some of which were performing critical admin tasks.
-Another critical game host has had a wedding, this weekend
-Many were unhappy with the weekend also being Father's Day. We had initially had this game in April but moved to May out of respect for Lion Claws. When Milsim West had a game in May we pushed back to June. Now with Lion Claws moving to this weekend, a large chunk of our admin staff otherwise occupied, and a very low initial registration number, we have decided to postpone the game.
What does this mean? We will start doing smaller games until the local player base is ready for larger military simulation games. We will continue to buy the props necessary for a fully immersive event, and we will continue to brainstorm event ideas for the Holy Wars series of games.
While this game and current timeline have been canceled, we still look forward to hosting this game in the future. In the meantime we plan on running smaller, localized events in Oregon with the hopes of building a larger MILSIM community so that when we begin hosting games more frequently, we will have a larger player base attending.
