Never thought I'd see an outdoor cqb. Nug and I had an absolute blast out there today. I personally thought the swampy part of the swamp added to the game. It made people really have to think about the best route to get from point A to point B.( I personally just went straight regardless).
First,I want to thank Ralph and his family for welcoming us onto his property, to deliver some plastic death! They did an absolutely awesome job of making us feel welcome.(not something we often experience from much of the paintball community). And they were so eager to learn about our sport. It was refreshing and kind of renewed some of my enthusiasm.
Second I want to thank Brian from Extreme Velocity, for his putting together all of the short and innovative games. The size of this field definately lends itself toward the multiple, shorter time frame games. Very nice job of recognizing this and planning accordingly. And that was positively the coolest briefcase bomb I've seen! MUST GET ONE myself!
Third I want to thank Cyclops, and anybody else from F.O.A.D., that helped make this thing happen.
And last but not least, I want to thank everybody who came out and played today. That was honestly one of, if not THE funnest game I've ever played( and I've played a lot). Guys had amazing attitudes, listened to and followed direction, helped each other out with any problems they were having, ran within the game concept and worked as a team, and people played honorably. Not once did I hear the dreaded "call your f..king hits!" Made the day MUCH more enjoyable for all. It was also really cool to see some of us letting some of the admins/family members shoot their stuff. That's what promoting our sport is about!
Great job by ALL involved today, and can't wait to return to "The Swamp", and my new friends, Ralph and his family!

Joke em' if they can't take a shazaam!
