ok cool. That'll actually make my friends less nervous since they have good starter guns as do I but they don't have the tacticool gear.

Guns, ammo, batteries, eyepro, facepro, radio, water, lunch, deathrag, & dry socks/cloths.

You may not have all that. But you MUST have eyepro.

That's a good list of gear, don't think there's more you'll really need. You'll learn if what you brought was enough after you've started playing at events. Little things like a multitool, roll of electrical tape, a tool kit, etc can come in handy.

I'd recommend introducing yourself and don't be afraid to ask questions. There are always experienced players at these events to provide insight about gear, replicas, etc.

Sounds good. Thanks for the input. I don't have radios are they really that important or can I get by without them at an event like this?

I've been playing for almost 8 years now without one, much to the chagrin of event hosts.

Comms can be a huge benefit, but if you plan to use 'em, please brush up on your radio chatter etiquette. Comms can go from useful to annoying and detrimental if you don't use them properly.

Shortbus has a good point...

Which team did you want to be on? It looks like right now we could use more warm bodies on the camo team. ;)

To get back on topic, Chainsaw, John "Splat Man" Vida, and myself were out walking the field today. Chainsaw is running point on the gameplay for this OP, and he's got a solid plan for this game that is going to be a blast!

And I'm not just saying that cuz I get to shoot at you guys from a moving vehicle!

Since last months game there's MORE new shit built on the field! John and his crew are out there busting a$$ every week to add stuff/clear areas. LOVE IT! Let's let them know we appreciate it.

That why you're wearing coms in your pic??? Jus sayin'... 8)

Steel Talon. Wore that headset for the first time. 15 minutes late my tooth got blasted out of my face and I drove myself in for emergency dental work. shortly after I bought a mesh lower facemask that is incompatable with that headset.

I'm on the hunt for a headset that will work with it though, if anybody has suggestions.

Throat mics work with mesh face. Or bone phones if you have that kind of change.
