Re-using Thunder B's

If I drilled a slight hole in a thunder b would it stop the plastic shell from ripping open? I know at some point they would stop opening as the holes got bigger but would the grenades be too quiet or something?

Drill a hole in what part? The ripping of the shell is what makes the noise, the pop of it blowing up. If you drill a hole in the metal part, it will have a zero second fuse and blow too quickly. If you put holes in the plastic, it won't do anything but hiss the co2 out with no pop.

You can try to score the plastic shell with a knife to get it to tear in a certain spot, but basically, there isn't any other way to change the way it works.

Jesse (and others) have drilled holes (small holes) in the core to get a consistent fuse length. I think there was a thread about it here somewhere...

But yea, putting a hole in the plastic shell will decrease the efficiency of the device.

Why would you need to reuse the shells? They're cheap as shit...

The only sure-fire way to stop the shells from ripping open is to not insert a Co2 cartridge. Then you can pull the pin and chuck them all day long and never worry about the shell ripping open.

Don't know why you would want that...but that would be the way to do it.
