Madbul Propane Adapter VS AI Propane Adapter

Postby Goliath17 » Sun Jul 28, 2013 9:48 pm

Hey guys, just wanted to know which you use, and your experience with one or the other. This is basically a "Metal adapter vs Plastic Adapter" I bought the Madbul one and it caused my o-ring to fall out, I was thinking of buying the AI one because its plastic and I've heard that it won't hurt the o-ring like a metal adapter will. Just share your experiences with them, thanks.

I've had the same madbull propane adaptor since 2007. It's worked great and hasn't caused an o-ring failure. I highly recommend.

I've got both an AI Tan adapter and a Metal Madbull adapter. My only advice is to stay away from the light green Sapien Arms adapters, because they suck.

I like the AI ones. I have an older AI metal one, but have also used the newer AI nylon ones. They're durable, and either will break if you drop the propane can on it.

The AI Nylon ones are more forgiving to the fill valves, but either can be used effectively. The extra cost to go metal isn't worth it for me. I've seen some of the MB ones frost and stick open, but not all metal ones do.
