Woe, I feel like I was just raped in some Airsoft COD scenario.

Sorry, just used to using 1337 and n00b to describe they types of players I'm talking about. I didn't mean to start a commotion or raise hell, just letting off a little steam. I just happen to think that if you're there and signed up and registered to play then you should play. Get into the game. If you're in airsoft to spend hundreds or thousands just to look the part then stay in the parking lot.

That would have been myself with my teammates. We were doing other things other than just circle jerking. We were planning, observing, conversing with admins, dealing with medical issues, and figuring out what the next move was going to be. We were doing a battle analysis to decide how we wanted to progress. If you wanted more action, you should have been with us capturing the shuttle bunker. Or watching as wave after wave of enemy went into a building that had 0 purpose while it was being rained upon by 2 SAW's.

That "standing around" is what EVERYONE was doing because we had beat the will out of the enemy force in the first couple of hours... And I'm not sure what "typical of them" means or who told you that, but we definitely weren't sitting around on Saturday doing nothing...

Also, keep in mind a lot of the "older" players have been doing this for years. If they choose to pay and stand around smokin' and jokin', they're more than welcome to do so. They paid.
Obviously it had no effect on the game since you claimed the we were rolling the other team.

I specifically remember that after the shuttle battle, shouting out to my team mates to form a perimeter (to those who were ready) and for the rest of the team (I can only speak for Specdet1) to hydrate and reload.

Rarely do we just sit around and jaw hack. Not until after the game or at spawn.

As far as "L33t" players, most of us players have been playing airsoft for a long time. We buy the kit to play the part. Remember we are basically playing "dress up". Airsoft is a recreational sport where grown adults and kids play army.

Just because we don't pretend to be your best buddy doesn't mean we are assholes and think we are better than you. In my 13 years of playing airsoft I have seen so many players come and go. I am more inclined to befriend the players that actually show there are going to be around for a while.

And if you really want to come and hang with us and get to know us, come to the fire pit. We are just a bunch of old guys that like to escape our wives and have a good time ;)

Well no worries then. I don't know who told me that it was "typical for them", just someone else in green camo wearing a mask like everyone else. Like I said we had gun problems so we missed the opening of the first game and got there after the battle had stagnated. We circled around and got some action, and a good amount of friendly fire. We were there when we took the log for and the town from the other team in the second game. We won the first night game by clearing the castle and planting the bomb and kicked a$$ the second night game. The next day we switched sides and kicked some more a$$.
I wasn't really trying to start some sh*t, just voicing what I saw. I saw people standing around and figured there were enough of "them" (you guys) to hold if we went somewhere else. So we left. Someone else said that was "typical" so I figured some people just stand around. I just noticed that a lot of people left Saturday. I also noticed there were a high number of newbs (that's for you Pacman) and thought that might be the reason. On Sunday, there were very few familiar faces and lots of the same newbs. Now don't get me wrong, I know a lot of players only do Saturday. But it seemed that this weekend a lot of people only did the first game. I guess in the scheme of things, what I think can't really weigh in on others. But I know that I stuck around, played hard, kicked a$$ and got my $30 worth. I just think that if more people overall were more focused on playing the game and expanding the sport we would all have more fun.

RabidRabbitBob,

We were on defense. Are you familiar with the term "strategic reserve"? We held our positions that first phase. Maybe them MARPAT players were waiting to see where they were needed? I wandered up and down our lines a bunch making sure everything was still holding. I probably looked like was doing nothing, too.

Oh, and I wasn't in MARPAT.

Speaking for my team. We played all day, all over the field, and with anyone that would that would listen. We did our best to keep them from completing their objectives. We fought hard to complete our missions. From what I saw, everyone on Red Elite, did everything they could to win.

As for Sunday. It was hot and muggy, and I just wanted to get home and shower. Props to those that stayed, but I don't need to practice at being miserable ;)

Yeah I know that term. I just figured maybe we could have counter attacked or taken our positions back since the other team broke like water on rocks before us. Maybe I am just frustrated that the other team wasn't stiffer competition. When we flanked around we found a large number of the other team within 100 meters of their spawn. We got hosed by walking into the middle of two groups an their spawn (our bad for not being more sneaky and alert) but I feel that an attacking team should attack and a defending team should defend. If the attacking team fails to attack, the defending team should counter and go on the offensive.

I like the Rabid-Rabbit thing

I know toward the end of the first day we were all sitting around the outskirts of the village because all of our objectives had been completed and their really wasn't anything left to do. Personally, I ended up with others cleaning out the field between the parking lot and the village and then making an attack on the beer cooler.
