Mesh facemask to Helmet

Postby Tombstone » Wed May 08, 2013 7:33 pm

Howdy,
I've seen a number of guys running around with mesh lower face masks strapped to their helmet. Wearing mine with the standard strap is a real pain in the a$$, so I'm curious how those of you who run in strapped to a brain-bucket are pulling it off.

Is it something you bought and threw on your helmet? If so, where did you get it?

Is it a custom project? if so, how did you do it?

Modify the strap, and velcro it to your helmet.

If you could hook it up like a fighter pilot's oxygen mask, I'd cream in your pants.

Well I was relativly sure that is what I saw. They had it hooked into their helmet somehow with a buckle, so they could just reach up, undo the buckle when they wanted to drink or be heard clearly, and buckle it back up before heading back into the shit.

Not sure how much this helps but figured it'd be worth posting.

The kid sounds like he's 13 but its pretty simple, you just gotta get past his voice.

Rig the mask to these: http://www.airsoftpeak.com/goggle-swive ... 10265.html

Than use the ARC rails. Not as awesome as big nickle plated buckles, but should work.

I used the swift clips that came with my FAST lid to buckle in my mesh mask. Works great! I'll post a pic of it tomorrow if I remember.
