Crye Vests & Plate sizes

Postby JoKeR1147 » Mon Apr 01, 2013 3:28 pm

So I'm about to put in an order for a Crye CPC and I was wondering, how are crye plate carriers sized? I measured myself as 38.5" in chest width, which would be a medium, but a friend told me crye tends to run small in its sizing. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Is Crye's measurement chart for sizing pretty accurate? Additionally, as I was looking at the plate bags I couldn't decide whether to get medium or large plates. Does anyone know which size is more versatile or better? I currently have some medium SAPI plates but I'm using them in another vest so i'll probably end up buying new plates anyways. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

You're a Medium with Medium platebags. Height/weight?

The JPC is designed to fit ESAPI plates to size. They are VERY tight by design.

I loved mine when I had it.

Lol, I meant I heard that the main vest tends to run small, not the plate bags. I've heard that the CPC plate carrier harness/chassis can be a bit tight. I didn't know if that was true or not. After Snowman's input I think I'll defiantly be ordering it in Medium, unless there is an argument is presented against that.
