I Think My Speed Loader Blows

Postby Ramer » Thu Feb 21, 2013 6:01 pm

I have a mag-shaped speed loader that I thought was going to work out, but it hardly ever even spits out any BBs. I could almost load my mags faster by hand.

Does anybody else run into this problem and know how to fix it or have a recommendation for a non-sucky speed loader?
No, sir, you don't understand; the correct answer is always Batman.

I use the Crossman 90 rd pistol mag shaped ones. $7 for two at wally world. They work, but Occasionally the BBs fill back into the speed loader. But they work.

anything more complicated than this:
http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?c ... s_id=41708

will eventually break sooner or later but then again a 90rd speed loader cost as cheap as $3. the KWA 450ish-rd speed loaders are really nice to have but they still fail to work with some mags. i would consider speed loaders more of a consumable than accessories and buy a hand full of them rather than trying to fix them.

I was thinking I might need to buy a handful of the 90-round ones. The one I got holds something over 400 and it just doesn't appear to be cutting it.

I have the KWA 450 one that is shaped like an M4 mag. The lip broke on it and the little O ring that keeps bb's from falling out fell out. So if you open it pointing down, bb's fall out. But it still works great. I have just about every type of mag you could want to fill and it works on them all. I don't know how a speed loader wouldn't work on some mags, there is a hole, you stick stuff in the hole :)

for the KWA speed loaders if you cant aim your nozzle right or the the spring tension from the mag is too strong pushing the bbs back into the mag you will lose the "globo" on your tip ;)

Besides lacking a backflow stopper (or whatever you wanna call it) my KWA loader has laster longer than any other speed loader I've owned. As long as you hold it at the correct angle, it'll load mags just fine.

I had the same problem recently so I bought the kwa 450 rd loader, which I love, but it turns out that wasn't the problem. I found out that my problem was cheap bb`s. The kwa was doing the same as my cheap loader, double stacking Bb, not allowing to push the plunger without feeling like it would break. I switched Bb brand and both work smooth as butter now.

I had the KWA speed loader and I broke the lip on it. So I bought a replacement. Same thing. A Buddy of mine had the same exact problem. Between the two of us we went through 5 KWA speed loaders. Crazy. WE have both switched to the King Arms 220 rd Loader and I will never ever go back to anything else. They fit in a pistol mag pouch or in an admin pouch, they load 2-3x faster than the KWA and they are cheaper. I have had mine since last August with no problems.

Holy crap! That'd be great to have back at spawn or in a pack.
