Action Camera Users

Postby Variable » Tue Feb 05, 2013 12:17 pm

We need an action camera whore thread. I know tons of you are sporting Go-Pros, Contours, and other brands of cameras on your heads, shoulders, and guns.

Lets see your setup and your best footage!

I just got a Contour Roam and an OpsCore ARC mount. No in game footage yet.

Can you put one on each ARC rail and have them canted slightly forward to give you a 3D video?

You can do 3D with GoPro's if you buy the kit for it, and a second camera.

I do hope that after all this discreditable shuffling we may be taken into action. It has a wonderful way of reconciling a man with himself: and with everybody else, sometimes. - 1st Lt. James Dillon

You can also do interactive 360 video with them if you buy this: (and have 6 of them)

Nice, but it's private :)

My cousin just picked up a $60 helmet camera. We'll see how it works, records in 720p, kinda a cheap gopro design, with an lcd screen in the back. I've seen test footage and it's really good for the price.

This is the first one I did where I attached my GoPro onto my gun (not the best place to put one when it's the only place getting footage...). Haven't really gotten anything else yet, mainly just haven't had time...

Here is one I made during a fire department burn to learn. It can get upwards of 1600 degrees inside a house fire, but these only hit about 600. Pretty tough little camera...

Jester, your burn to learn video is blocked because of copyright. :(

I will shamelessly plug my page here:
http://www.youtube.com/user/FLTAIRSOFT/ ... rid&view=0

there is game footage as well as some tech related stuff. I still got a crap load of footage that needs to be edited. got a video from part of op: rise of insurgents out here in az that I went to in January that only needs some touch up before I post it. feel free to look around.

edit: all my footage was shot with a contour roam in 720p

Looks good spaz. I prefer your helmet cam views. Gun cam gets nauseating to watch.

yeah, got the gun mount before I got the head strap. I don't wear a helmet so the mounts that came with the roam did me no good. I plan on getting a second camera to run both views.
