I didn't even know it was set up. Is it at Rilea again?

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty

Yep or so I've heard. On the Lion Claws calendar it's falling on August 16-18, so the 3rd weekend in August.

It is in the inception stages: building a team to make it happen, exploring other AO's, attracting new sponsors, etc.

Stay tuned!

This will be my teams first Lion Claws event. We're definitely excited. Been watching videos of Lion Claws events on YouTube for a year now. Can't wait.

I'll probably go again, but I'd like to see a few changes. More structured objectives and side objectives. More use of the entire field (it's awesome), maybe a couple of assault vehicles to break up the stalemates.

I'm looking forward to it.

I'd like to see more diverse objectives over a larger part of the AO. Also nobody on the field that is unfamiliar with airsoft etiquette/rules (cough cough Army Psyops unit).

Although they did ignore some gameplay rules and probably needed more training on how Airsoft works, I did enjoy our interactions with the PsyOps unit when it came to their acting on day 1. Having a third party force that may or may not be hostile is pretty cool.

I did kind of enjoy that they were screwing around with us by acting like curious civilians but what I heard from when they were defending stairwells and stuff it was pretty messed up.

I thought having a variable third party was awesome. We try to do it at our games but I feel it boils down to who the third party knows the best on which ever team and then they're almost always on their side. Although I have seen it work a couple of times.

I saw lack of following rules just as much from Airsoft players. Most of the close up face shots out windows were from airsofters and not the NG guys.
I was also up stairs when they were defending the stairs. Once it was explained they weren't allowed to blind fire, they no longer did it. I do remember one airsofter getting very upset because his "flashbang" was kicked back down the stairs, hit him in the face?, landed at his feet, and then exploded. He apparently thought that you weren't allowed to do this and complained quite loudly while throwing out childish insults. It was kind of embarrassing.

Also, from my understanding, the first half, there were objectives outside of the village and the locals even offered to guide people to these objectives, but people were more focused with just shooting around corners all days(instead of standing behind trees). Had people actually pushed out, they would have had the chance to use more of that AO.

I'll probably go too...
I do hope that after all this discreditable shuffling we may be taken into action. It has a wonderful way of reconciling a man with himself: and with everybody else, sometimes. - 1st Lt. James Dillon
