Interest in Montana?

Postby Sahronax » Wed Jan 30, 2013 9:10 pm

So I now live and go to school in Bozeman, MT, which I realize may just put me outside of the operating range of Airsoft Pacific. However, I am curious how many people would be willing to make the trip all the way out here to participate in a day or weekend of airsoft if I were able to get the local team to host a major event. The terrain is splendid, and rather different than what I would imagine most of the west-siders here are used to, and there are plenty of options for playing fields. I would absolutely take pictures and post them here, except right now all you would see is the snow that has been here since November.
I realize that this would be a serious trek for quite a few of you, but I am curious if there might be enough interest on here to bother inquiring about hosting an event.

I think that so few people participate in long-distance events, even very publicized ones such as Lion Claws, so I would bet that a majority of Northwesters would elect to stay/play local.

I bet there's some terrain very well-suited to gameplay out there though!

I am presuming that this will be the predominant attitude on this board, but decided it was worth a shot

You could have some kick-a** winter games here, though...

Yeah, most players wont go 2 hours one way for a game, let alone a trip that far.

Look up indebted one on youtube, he's also registered here but doesn't post. He is from that area and i'm sure he has allot of knowledge of where to play.

There is a team in Bozeman, I played with them when I lived in Butte, there is also a team in Missoula that is getting bigger everyday. I played with them when they were in their infant years still. They put on some decent events that aren't terribly far from you.

These are the guys in Bozeman

They are pretty cool and fun to play with.

I can't really help you much more than that. I haven't lived in Butte for 2 years now and a lot could have changed.
