Been out of Airsoft since 2007

Postby Siciro » Sat Jan 26, 2013 9:55 pm

Hey all. Ive gone by Siciro since I started playing FPS games on PC. The good old days of Battlefield 1942.

Got into airsoft when my friends all got springers and started playing in the woods and then I set up a small paintball type field in my big backyard. Friends grew apart, I moved, got a job and wanted to move up to AEG's and running with teams. Started playing with Battlesim and Phantom Force out at their fields. Went out to NW Tactical in Kent until it closed.

Had to give up airsoft after my AEG got stolen when some punk kids broke into my place. I had lost my job and couldn't afford to buy another. This was late 06 early 07. Completely lost touch with the airsoft world. Then I was at the WAC gun show in Puyallup and this guy had an A&K 7799 otherwise known as an M4 S-System. I picked it up for nothing. I talked him into trading for a Belt I made. I see it as a steal. It has some issues but its a chance to get back in for cheap.

I'm thinking of building it up as a bullet proof gun for use down at TAC in Tacoma. Maybe someday I can have all the gear again to make it out to some big operations. Its expensive to outfit a 270lb guy, XL/XXL stuff isnt cheap.

It was a CA M4 with a full stock that I picked up for cheap because it needed a new hop up and new gears as the sector gear had lost a tooth.

You are in for a shock, Personally sometimes I wish it was like it was back around '07. AEG's were still spendy, TM was king and the local games never, ever reached a crazy 300+ people. With that said, the popularization of airsoft has brought many new companies, equipment and replicas that were never even thought possible. There are always tradeoffs :D
