Ok for those of you who don't know about my KWA and airsoft Kuwait rant I'll do a short recap. I posted my suprise and displeasure with KWA's potential offenses to a airsofter from Kuwait who traveled to the US and shotshow back last year.
History of me and KWA
Milsim Kuwait(MK) tried to talk to KWA at shot show, and MK felt they were getting a run around from KWA. I expressed his feelings and my shock over the issue which seemed like they didn't want to talk to middle eastern people, KWA immediatly replied and explained the situation. Overall MK wasn't to pleased, but ehhh I kinda got what KWA was worried about and the international problems, you can look up the old post if you want. Basically I was shocked a little upset because hell I liked KWA in general, and they have had overall a good reputation.
LJ and why I think KWA might have wanted to reach out to him
Well anyways I get home and dragged my girlfriend over to LJ's house (big time airsoft gun purchaser kinda like SHWELL on youtube but without the interest in modding or the youtube channel). LJ is a great guy and I consider him a good friend, and to any new airsofter he is super friendly, helps everyone and I personally try to get him to show his gun collection off all the time(which has kinda shrunk over the last year). He is proud of his collection, and I am as well which is probably why I get as much joy bringing new airsofters to him.
Anyways if you are new he helps you, if your gun breaks he loans you one of his. Got a new player who wants to try the sport... He brings a loaner gun, extra batteries, give people chargers, helped students by giving them free stuff or doing super huge discounts. All around probably one of the coolest calmest former veterans on and off the field.... Unless people are cheating a bunch then he gets a little pissed.
KWA and LJ
This last year I think hes been to about 15 out of state games last year, and lots more in state. We use to play every freaking weekend on Ft. Stewart and man it was a blast. Well if I recall correctly hes went to one of those invite only games (might have been just a big game) and where hes just playing away. Anyways hes at this game and he sees this "asian" guy playing and the guy walks up to LJ and starts talking to him. Apparently LJ is a little known airsoft celebrity, or at the very least LJ got talked up by someone to KWA. This Asian guy is one of the lead men in KWA, and begins discussing the new gas system they have etc with LJ. I believe the guy even offered to get him a demo to play with just to see what he thinks of the gun. Considering the epic TON of money LJ has spent on airsoft guns it might have been the distributors are stalking him... who knows. I wont go into to details, and I can't remember who the KWA spokesman was, but I will say this to KWA.
My Comments to KWA
Gentlemen it was refreshing to hear you go out of your way, and talk to LJ, and I don't want to tell you how generous this guy[LJ] is to the community. I think the guy has given away more guns in 1 year to needy people, then I own real guns, and that is a very difficult task. He also happens to be one of the best guys I know when it comes to dealing with new players, and is exceptionally well versed in stock guns in general. Also he plays his rear off, and is overall a great guy, so thank you for being so kind to him and making his day.
P.S. LJ if you ever read this (he isn't really a forum kind of guy) I know your knees are blown from real combat, but you still keep up and I will miss playing with you, so this message is as much for you as it is to say KWA you have impressed me with knowing your customers and good people.
