I'm down for whatever, I mainly want to get out and experience a milsim event so I can get a look at all of ya in your nice gear (but mostly to see how people operate).
Any suggestions towards a simple kit?

Rangers are all that seems to be open. Get a set of Multicam with the knee pad inserts. Get an ACH and put velcro all over it. Get a plate carrier and pouches all matching in RG or Khaki or Multicam. Get an M4 and put a PEQ box on it and an EOTech/ACOG/M68/Elcan Specter and wear unbloused hiking boots.

The specifics will cost you a lot of money, and are largely individual soldier-dependent.

Also, people with non-US kits, why not just form an ISAF or NATO team?

ISAF-C as an airsoft team is directly designed for that.

But we are also very specific gear-whores, and don't feel we are ready as a team to show up with a full team/stack in various NATO loadouts. Some of us have them, but too many don't that we want to include them, so we'll wait for the next one to form an ISAF task force.

Luckily we've been working on our Russian and third world OPFOR loadouts.

I have an alright PJ impression, or I could be a standard US afghan deployed soldier. My gear got approved by Seagreen. The reqs arent extremely hard to meet, you just have to put effort into your kit. I sadly didnt know no unit uses an RG JPC, but the rest of my stuff works great, so I could just be the poor random guy that got handed the odd duck equipment at the requsition center.

Why would the actors be baised? They never have been at any other BSP events. I know that everyone on SOTA or related to SOTA will stive to give each squad the same enjoyable experience. I can't see Dan and the rest of ISAF-C being any different either.

I will be there as OPFOR. 100%.

I am looking forward to this very much; if anybody needs ghetto gear I have enough to successfully outfit three or four "rebel" fighters.
I will be bringing a +1 for sure.

As somebody that was OPFOR for the previous Impression series I wasn't involved in any of the judging. That is left to the BSP staff.

The actors will have specific ROE's and be there for the enjoyment of the event itself.

If there is an issue with ANY actor, they will be asked to leave. This is not a "graded show"...this is an experience and this time we are leaving the teams to look at what they did well, and what they didn't to give us feedback about future shows.

This is about fun...and a new beginning.

If they are, just throw them on the ground to make them comply like last time :D

Just remember we are Actors/player trying to give you a realistic experience, not real bad guys so don't go all crazy on us.

Bill will you have guide lines on what is acceptable physical contact for actors and what is not. I am not being a cute kitty, I just want their to be a clear expectation of what is acceptable and what is not.

To alleviate any question about the gaming:

the actors are there to play a role. The role ultimately is to provide the proper amount of resistance to the participants while giving them the experience they came for.

Actors have some personal freedom when it comes to the role itself, but this isn't a "fear this" ambush program. The participant teams will be set up for success from the get go.

OPFOR embedded admins who represent BSP will be there to make sure OPFOR is squared away and on the right track. Those that can't play it the way we want it simply will be asked to leave. Embedded admins will be involved with the participant teams as well...to ensure proper medical procedures...casualty card adherance, and of course keep the teams on track in the event they go all nutty.

This is about fun. Let's not attack people before the game even starts. This is the first game back for BSP...and we are giving everyone a clean slate to work from.

So, let's focus on gear for now...and we'll start giving some updates on who's...what's...when's and storyline after we distribute speaking and target roles.

Thanks for the understanding....but, I'm not going to play the "drama" card. We are playing big kid rules, you can't handle the roles or the rules, please don't waste others' time and money with your own personal agendas, bias, or general gayness. It isn't needed.
