Crye Gen 2 Vs Gen 3 Uniforms

Postby JoKeR1147 » Mon Dec 03, 2012 11:17 pm

Can someone quickly explain to me the differences between Crye Gen 2 and Gen 3 multicam uniforms? Additionally, I know that the rangers are just now switching to gen 3s, does this mean that other army SF units like ODAs and CAG/SFOD will also be making the transition? Thanks.

I love the G3's; super comfortable, love the patterned stretch material over the tan stretch material. They put good, innovative thought into this latest iteration, like the adjustable waist band or the integrated knee pad covers when you have the pads removed. You get what you pay for.

Military Morons has the best comparison of the AC and G3 versions. And he thought the G3 top was looser than the AC; might depend on the person.
I do hope that after all this discreditable shuffling we may be taken into action. It has a wonderful way of reconciling a man with himself: and with everybody else, sometimes. - 1st Lt. James Dillon

The G3 shirt had more of a stretchy fabric for the shirt, that's pretty much the only difference I noticed aside from the G3 pants also fit tighter, but that's probably because I was wearing a pair that were actually my size. My NC's are 34R, but 32R's fit me a bit better. Not enough to care, that's why I haven't switched.
