The other weekend my group and a bunch of guys were playing, and wanted something new but easy to grasp and play. So we came up with a new take on the 'downed pilot' scenario, and since we are in the Great NW, we named it:
Catch the Sasquatch!
The basics are like this: One guy gets dressed up in gillie, is allowed a pistol and plastic knife. His entire goal is to avoid capture by the other groups in the game. (Might require someone willing to take on the role, with a good attitude)
The rest are split into two teams. Their goal is to catch the sasquatch. All shots taken on the sasquatch are considered tranquilzer darts, and will incapacitate him for 60 seconds. The team will have to move up and spend another 60 seconds to 'secure' the sasquatch for transport. A hand always has to be kept on the Sasquatch to keep it compliant. If at any time the Sasquatch is untended for more than 60 seconds, it's able to break its bonds and run free. Also, if the people holding it captive are wiped out and it is not hit before the 60 seconds are up, it can also break free and run instantly.
Once captured, the team will have to bring the sasquatch back to a base camp to win the game.
I recomened making it a respawn game for the two teams to keep the game interesting.
I think the two best moments we've had with this so far was the Sasquatch sneaking up on a group and yelling "Eat Fish!" before nailing them with the pistol. The other is a long pistoleer running up on a group escorting the sasquatch just meters away from their base camp and nailing them both. Of course, he then had to chase the sasquatch down as it broke free!
Thoughts on this game type?
