I shoot my dads 10-22, and I must say I notice no difference between a .22lr and an AEG/GBBR. Short story shorter, .22lr have almost no recoil.
You people are way too knit-picky. It was an example. Obviously you can't get the recoil of 5.56, but certain GBBRs can compare to, and even beat, a .22lr in recoil. The point was, an AEG has next to no barrel wobble when firing full auto/burst, so you'll have up to a 2-3" group even at 100+ feet if built superbly. Whereas a GBBR/.22lr will be lucky to get an 12" group fired full auto at the same distance.
I don't want to hear about how (insert name here) is so big and strong and can manage recoil to the point they don't feel recoil, thumbs up to them. That's not everyone in the game.
MOVING ON. Thanks for the opinions for those who stayed on topic. I will update in the future.
