calling OSU students

Postby code789 » Tue Oct 09, 2012 2:48 pm

I am posting this up to look for anyone on ap who are going to OSU this academic year and is interested in starting a ballistic club (airsoft/paintball/maybe ipsc and three gun...etc) I would like to just start the club and recruit people but I'm entering my junior year in college and I will most likely need a few extra hands to help start thing thing up due to classes. and it would be easier to pass on the club if there was someone at the beginning of creating the team and has a longer shelf life at OSU.

though OSU has a pistol club and rifle club. the main focus of this club will mainly be airsoft but i feel that there is no harm in creating some competition to grow OSU sports (since we're already loosing football to the ducks) and grow the AP community.

Rick Fisher from blackwater tactical airsoft will provide sponsorship in the form of discounts to club member. The sponsor is not just limited to OSU only rick has also given me right to extend his offer to surrounding college students who are also willing to start up similar clubs promoting airsoft: U of O, LBCC, WOU......etc ( you your school isn't listed just PM me and we can talk about it )

Airsoft and schools tend to not mix.

1. So? What's that have to do with airsoft?

2. My understanding of Oregon geography has those being quite a ways (30-40 miles) apart. Where are they playing?

what does it not have to do with airsoft? every freak out about have airsoft guns has been in conjunction with the reality of actual fire arms (liberals)

the newberg was out on a private property something like a 3 day event with a camp fire and party which happened monthly over the summer, i'm not quiet sure where the dallas was held as far as i know it was outside city limits but on public property.
its university, club events do not have to happen on campus

Starting a group at OSU is fine and dandy. What I'd stay away from is any kind of official club status though. Its a very non-politically correct activity, and operating under the radar is healthier for the group.

I speak from experience, been there done that.

Yep. And don't keep any of your kit in a dorm.

EVER.
