Can you identify this camo?

Postby Orwell » Thu Oct 04, 2012 9:41 am

Like it says on the box. This is a screencap from the film Armadillo, which followed some Danish soldiers on their tour of duty in Helmand in 2009. It can be hard to see, but the camo has green and brown in it. I checked it against a couple photos of Danish M/01, but I'm still not sure. What do you think? It's probably irrelevant now anyway, seeing as the Danish switched to Multicam as of 2011.

it's T/99 and/or M/01. From myy understanding, impossible to get. Strik3 knows more

apparently the difference between T99 and M01 is velcro on upper pockets and stuff, but it's just desert pattern of the m84

It's T99. T99 seems to have slightly more tan in it since it was designed to be used by peacekeepers in the African theater. M/01 seems to have slightly more red in it and as McNair said, it has sleeve pockets with velcro, (which that one appears not to have). M/01 is only issued to soldiers going to Afghanistan, all other troops serving elsewhere are issued temperate M84. Both are still in use because of limited production numbers, but M/01 is becoming much more common because the army has been adopting Crye-produced combat suits in it.

That being said, it is literally impossible to get anywhere, even in Denmark since it is only issued to troops actually going to deployment and none of it is taken out of circulation.

Thanks, guys. I wonder if there are any good ACM reproductions.

Also, as an addendum, it looks like Multicam will be issued to Danes starting in early 2013.

The only repro is of M84 and the coloration is all wrong. It has much less spots and is very bright green, the quality of the garments are pretty terrible as well, it also uses a US-spec BDU cut, which is incorrect. As it stands, there is no way to get arid Danish camouflage of any kind anywhere. Sorry, I'm disappointed too

For reference, Top is repro, bottom is real deal.
