How hot is too hot?

Postby TheGonz » Fri Jun 08, 2012 9:05 pm

Well with summer fast approaching, a problem has come up in my local area, "It is too hot outside to go play". I am just wondering, what temperature seems too unreasonable to go skerm?

Once we push 90, I start moving really slow. I don't really mind playing in the heat, I just won't be in any rush to get to an objective.

Tell them to quit their bitchin' and think about soldiers that were in Afghanistan and Iraq.

There's no such thing as "too hot". Complaining about that makes them whiny bitches.

I just tell them to bring water. But i just wanted to get a good idea on what seems too hot, I am all for 100+ but my local skerm team is just flakers most of the time, if it is sunny out side.

Once it gets above 100, I start to slow down a little bit. Due to me being quicker than the average player, me slowing down is still playing at an average players speed/quickness. IMO, there is no such thing as "too hot." :)

I sweat a lot and I hate it, so anywhere above about 75, if I'm running around, gets me too hot in a hurry. I'd prefer 65-75 degree weather year-round.

If it's humid....I'd say anything past 85.

I dont mind heat, But after 100 theres alot more problems. Hydration is obvious, But getting sun burn(i burn easy) is just terrible. I burn almost no matter what. Sunscreen or not.

Agreed, especially if I'm playing casually. If I'm feeling into it, I don't care about heat.

Got to agree with welshy. If it's dry heat it's fairly easy to keep going. When it's humid however breathing can get difficult if you're running to hard.
