Postby KONG » Thu May 17, 2012 10:07 pm

I have some Pistol Magazine Pouches and I'm trying to see if My old Pouches Will work with
Either of these 3 GBB Pistol's I'm gonna be purchasing soon.

I'm gonna get Either the:

1: KJW Full metal Beretta M9

2: WE MEU COLT 1911

3: KJW Sig Sauer P226

Can anyone please give Me the dimensions of those pistols Magazines?
I've searched everywhere if anyone can help I'd very much appreciate it.

Those 3 are nearly guaranteed to fit into pistol mag pouches of most varieties. What type of pistol mag pouches have you got?

Aren't the MEU 1911s single stack? SO they're thinner than the M9 and P226 mags.

The MEU would be single stack, yes. Still, though, I agree with Junto. Most pouches will fit those.

If you're using MOLLE flap pouches, you'll have no problems with any of those. If you're using kydex, you'll need one specifically for each. If you're using old-style ALICE or similar, you'll need a double-stack (such as the US issue nylon M9 pouch) for the M9 and P226 and a single stack (such as the US issue canvas M1911A1 pouch) for the MEU. The cheapest option is the ALICE, most versatile is the MOLLE and fastest draw is the kydex.

If it's a double stack pouch it'll fit two single stack mags... usually. depending on the baseplate.

M9 and 226 mags are the same size (the same can be said of real steel mags). If it can fit a 226/M9 mag, you're 1911 mags will fit just fine. You can probably squeeze a couple per cell depending on the tolerances.

On a side note, I'd highly suggest the KJW M9 over the other two. You'll hear of some of them breaking the trigger spring, but my 6 year old one hasn't had any issues.

There are members of this community that swear by the WE 1911's, but I'm not one of them. I had one that went to shit in about 2 months of use. A teammate had a pair as well that blew up barrel bushings if you looked at it the wrong way.

The KJW 226's aren't bad, but they have issues with the valve knocker exploding. It's a cheap part to replace, but getting to it is the issue.

Thank's for that I was leaning towards the Sig :( but I'll defiantly get the M9 if it will outlast the P226.

TM-based M9s are virtually guaranteed to break parts (usually the trigger spring is first to go) and have leaky magazines. My guess is that they're trying to make them as reliable as the real-steel (Bum-dum-dum tish!). WE 1911s can have issues, but they've been getting better over the years and the new ones really only have trouble with expanding magazines (which is usually not so much that it can't be filed down). I know nothing about P226s, mainly because I've never owned any.

AONW just did a review on the KJW, KWA, and WE P226s.
How many shots you can get from a gas fill, how many rounds they hold, how far they shoot, avg FPS, etc.
Nice read if you're in the market for one.
