How to turn n00bs into hobbyist?

I have a large group of friends that all play airsoft. Me and one other are "serious" players.
I have showed them all the tacticool gear and guns they still say nay. Money really isn't a problem because where we live jobs are like finding pennies on the ground.
I was wondering if there is a good method to convert theam into "serious" players?

Same effect here.

All my friends know is that I play airsoft, but in a more "hardcore" way.

Is it that time of year already? God dammit! :roll:

On topic though, I guess show them videos, bring them to a game, and assess their interest. If they have none, oh well.
