thanks rapture, good info. Ive been at a local agency like i said for 2 years almost 3, they all really like me and im pretty close with the officers (house sit, mow yards, invited to things on off time) etc, they all want me to do good and what not and im not a party type of guy what so ever so keeping the nose clean wont be hard. It should work perfectly for this agency because thers 2-3 LEO that will be retiring in the next couple years so it should work out in my favor.

Now did you have college or military experience or just cadet experience and got hired?

Some college, didn't graduate at the time and cadet experience. Every agency is different. Sounds like you are on the right track with things. The fact that the officers choose to socialize with you in their off-time says a lot.

College won't hurt. While it's not necessarily required, it does help differentiate you from the pack.

Too bad you are 20 and looking for an adult team. The Cadet Airsoft Rangers would love to have someone with your experience and focus on our team.
Best of luck in your career plans. The force needs good cops.

Stop the necro-poster!!!
I do hope that after all this discreditable shuffling we may be taken into action. It has a wonderful way of reconciling a man with himself: and with everybody else, sometimes. - 1st Lt. James Dillon
