KWA/KSC Glocks 2 pin or 3 pin models?

Postby God » Sat Apr 21, 2012 6:25 pm

I'm looking at my Glock 18c and Glock 19, buth newer KWAs w/out trades, and am trying to determine if they are 2 or 3 pin styles. Can someone who is well versed in Glocks tell me?

That's all good and well. But the airsoft replicas often have fake pins. ie, 99% of M4 AEGs. I mean real pins. I don't want to take a pin remover to a cosmetic pin, only to fracture my Glock frame.

On a side note, my G19 is clearly a 2 pin. Making one guess that the 18's pin is there for cosmetic's sake only.

Edit: Found answer on another forum. Thanks for the help, albeit, sarcastic help.

if you don't want the sarcasm then don't ask something that you obviously can find yourself.

Definitely. Code's sarcasm is clearly valid because, although he didn't know the answer, you asked what he was a stupid question. It takes MUCH less effort to be sarcastic and rude and ignorant than it does to be right or just be quiet.

FYI, in case you're ever wondering, all the pins on the KSC G19 with trades are also real. I would caution against punching those out until you know what they hold in, though.

Unless they have recently changed, KSC/KWA GLOCKs are the two-pin variety as depicted in the first picture. The pin above the trigger is the aptly-named trigger pin and the pin in the rear holds the hammer unit in place.

No problem. Some frames have a cosmetic third pin but the pin is actually just two metal inserts above the trigger pin and I haven't seen many of them lately.
