Bad trade experiance today.

Postby TheAirsoftSaint » Thu Apr 12, 2012 3:48 pm

Just as a note for some people that may do this or run into people that do this, when you decide on a trade and make note of all faults with any AEG,GBB, or Bolt Action Replica. Do not back out of a trade, unless you find that something is actually wrong with the replica. I found myself driving an hour out, only to be told "I don't want to trade anymore because your bolt action replica is to new". Just because my A&K Dragunov has never really been used, the bolt was a little hard to pull back because the spring hasn't really been used.

Not only is it a was of time for one of the party members but also a waste of gas. When a trade is agreed, knowing all issues and risks with replica's do not back out unless something changes, such as a broken gun or whatever.

End of my little rant. Also note, im kind of pissed :x

I'd be pissed too. And everyone should know that the A&K SVD has a stiff bolt, it's kinda common knowledge. At least, it should be.

I even let the other party member know about everything about my replica's.

Lame... :( That's the down fall i guess of trading or selling something yourself.. Things dont always happen to work out for the best every time... Well maybe something better will come of it..best of luck.

Yeah, that does suck. I mean, what do you expect from a bolt-action? Especially from a gun known to have a stiff bolt. Who knows, maybe he expected a incredibly easy pull.

You should of slapped him, just sayin'.

Alright well wasn't going to say anything about this but since you had to name names then i guess i have some explaining to do.

First off we never had anything set in stone, i told you that we could meet up try out each others guns and work out a deal then, yes i did make you a couple offers but there was nothing set in stone. Second, there being nothing set in stone it was extremely stupid of you to go ahead and order parts for a gun you didn't even have, I felt really bad for you but I just wouldn't have gotten close to a fair deal. The caspian that "works" literally shoots gas everywhere, it doesn't leak it vomits gas. There is also the fact that parts where falling off of it. Yes of course a dragunov has a difficult bolt but this was excessively bad cause i'm not a weak dude and i had to take the cover off (top plate) and hold the other side of the cocking mech down so it was obviously a problem with the alignment of your piston and cylinder. might have even been something wrong with the trigger mech itself for all i know. basically it would have been a terrible idea for me to agree to that trade, as there seemed to be quite a lot of details left out on your part. While i do feel bad about the fact that you wasted the gas to come meet with me your a nice guy and i tried to give you some ideas as to where you might find somebody else who would sell you an m4 and i do believe a lot of this trash talk is uncalled for. Yes it sucks that you put yourself in this situation by ordering the parts prematurely but i'm not accountable for a mistake on your part.

Well, isn't that why we agree to meet up in the first place? To make sure what your getting isn't misrepresented, or some guy is saying a bolt isn't hard when it's actually something wrong?

At least he met with you. The ones that piss me off are when they say they will be there and don't show after i drove an hour to meet.

Never assume a deal is done until your driving home with the deal actually done. Seems you assumed way too much. Take it as a learning experience on the next trade.

And there is always two sides of the story, i think it's really douchey to name a name on a trade that didn't happen. Not like you got a gun and found out it was broken, or totally different.

The seller and the buyer each reserve the right to back out of any deal until such a time as the seller has the cash, and the buyer has the item. Should have met up at a game, so that way you didn't drive for nothing.
