I'm in Eugene til summer. A few times in the past I have been able to convince the people who operate War Paint is Salem to let me and a handful of friends play on their fields while the paintballers are in other areas. We did have to pay. Also, I don't know if the field down here out McGowan Creek on the BLM land is open. Once the weather gets better I would be willing to venture out there and take a look.

I haven't played at McGowen since 2009, it'd be cool to head out there again.

I'm game to help build a field assuming its the right land, we have the proper materials to build some bunkers, etc.. and permissions and such are worked out in advance.

Eugene.
Don't know of any good local fields, is there any reason why we can't use Mcgowan?

I'm currently in Corvallis but I'm from Eugene. To answer your question Mufasa, it is not a problem to go up there because a group of people I used to go with went there. The main problem we found is that there are not many good areas (at least that we used) and there are a lot of gun toting red necks who are trigger happy so there is that safety issue.
This is my rifle.
There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Lets first figure out how big of an area we are able to utilize, then we can start planning from there.

I am in Springfield and the remaining 7 players are in Springfield and Eugene(none of them post here on AP though).

We play locally on private land sometimes, my parents ranch on the Coast, or in bend with another 7-8 people from Corvallis/Bend/Coast.

From what I understand this is far easier now and they have specific Airsoft only times you can rent out to make sure you don't have to share like that. Sounds like maybe in the past they didn't?

We called the to get a 14 person airsoft event going and didn't seem to get much in the way of negative feedback from them. I don't know their rep though.

My personal circle of shooters use to play Warpaint's fields really regularly before they even really embraced it at the indoor field. We used to play West Salem until they bottled it up for private events, and Kiezer until that went bye-bye. Not a fan of the indoor for airsoft, but I've seen folks playing a handful of times. They've been quite a bit more welcoming recently at indoor which is great - but the ground work of exposing them to airsoft in a good light has been going on for a long time. =p

Oh and on topic - Salem player, and I can also confirm Nukeproof is still kicking around Silverton/Salem area as well as our small circle of friends. About 12 of us, putting together our own little skirmishes irregularly nowdays - I need to get the boys out to a real Op again this season - Aside from Santa wars, I think Fat Rabbit was the last 'real' OP we got out too as a group. Yep.
